Cape May-Lewes Ferry LBS Solution – Case Study

Delaware River and Bay Authority was preparing to launch the seasonal Cross Cape Adventure for its Cape May Lewes Ferry line. The Adventure required an LBS mobile solution to bring out the fun side of exploring the Twin Capes Region, while allowing users to receive interactive information about the ferry schedule via their mobile devices.
Bianor designed and developed a mobile application, which offered travelers up-to-date ferry schedule information, allowed them to check into various locations, review a history of past check-ins, etc. The application featured a Cross Cape Adventure location-based contest with automatic contest entry and check-in at predefined locations.
The Cross Cape Adventure location-based mobile application provided an important direct communication tool with customers, opening the way for marketing campaigns, promotions etc. The fun game draws repeat business each season with user data a valuable business asset.
